About Emily

emily masson grew up in indiana and ended up in telluride colorado for over twenty five years.  she started writing lyrics and then music as she raised her kids and worked with her husband building their local businesses.  after a happenstance meeting with rob and michele jones of jones for sound in montrose colorado, she started recording music she had been playing by herself.  the result was a collaboration with regional, western slope muscians including rob jones on guitars, levi brown on bass, and mike beck on drums, with the addition of tia brown on backup vocals on multiple tracks and featuring aj fullerton on “life begins again” on the second album, lost at home.  this jones for sound house band was involved in both records.  twenty first century mood has 7 tracks and is the first recording released in June 2021.
